The work is about personal life experience. It is also about our time. This series has been produced from 2003 and continues today. It is a documentary about the condition of people and about the feelings lying beneath the hardness of their bodies. It is like a documentary because, even though the soul of the author is hidden inside the work, it is still a cast made on the bodies of real people. Those bodies are a mirror reflecting our own image. The casts were made in the North-East periphery of Beijing at a conglomerate of temporary houses behind the Fifth Ring Road. People are coming from all over China and are waiting to enter the metropolis and to achieve their dream of creating a new destiny for themselves. Countless controls are made daily and physical force is in common use. If we look at those bodies as the continuation of the Chinese race, then their story is the history of the spiritual development of a civilization.
