This is a Christian community, and precisely because it is a Christian community absolutely everyone is welcome. We hope to “honor all people.” We neither presume nor assume you to be Christian; we only hope to be Christian toward you. We hope to welcome you as we have been welcomed by Jesus Christ into the heart of God. And in inviting you, as artists, into this community of faith, we celebrate the continuing revelatory power of God in art, the gift of welcome and inclusion, and seek to “serve the city” of which we seek to be a continuingly redeeming part. Grace and peace to you!

Artist & Connection Information
As a way to acknowledge the importance of nurturing community both within the congregation and among its neighbors, Westminster Presbyterian Church will focus, for ArtPrize 2014, on exhibiting art works which reflect the idea of community, broadly defined. We believe the best art is imbued with the spirit and personality of the artist. As in years past, we will look for well-crafted and professionally presented works, and hope the particular challenge this year will allow us to exhibit art works which convey both the individual spirit of each artist and something of the spirit of the community within which he or she lives and works.
