Event accessibility

ArtPrize® wants you to know a few ways that can make navigating the event with a disability a little easier.

Accessible venues

ArtPrize has 117 venues that have self-identified as being handicap accessible. To find those venues, simply:
  • Click on the View all venues link on the home page under search
  • All participating venues will be listed
  • Select the Wheelchair accessible check box on the left side of the screen
  • Click the Apply filters button and the 117 handicap accessible venues will display

    • The Hub is also handicap accessible. 

    Shuttles and buses

    Please be aware that the ArtBus is not wheelchair accessible, but that is another reason why ArtPrize partnered with The Rapid, the Grand Rapids Transit System. All of The Rapid buses are wheelchair accessible. Hope Network will also provide handicap accessible transportation.

    Starting September 20, you can purchase Metro Passes for $5 at The Hub, all exhibition centers, or any of the Meijer park and ride locations.
