The beer we produce includes a recreation of the iconic Silver Foam, along with several other beers brewed to honor our Grand Rapids heritage, leaders, landmarks as well as our Grand Rapids Brewing Company family. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do as a company. We built our brewpub to reflect that value. Reclaimed materials were used for our floors, tables and walls and we employed local artisans to create our furnishings and artwork. We also employ an extensive recycling and composting program, helping us divert more than 90 percent of GRBC’s waste from landfills and incinerators. This property at 103 College SE is an outstanding example of Chateauesque Victorian architecture. It was originally the home of Edward Lowe, a Grand Rapids lumber merchant and philanthropist. Constructed in 1895 of bricks imported from England, It was for many years the highest structure in the city. The architectural style is throughly Victorian. The front gable, curved as if it is carved from stone instead of laid by brick, is similar to those of a stately English home. The roof with its steep slated gables, is related to the style of Cotswold Cottages. The brick work is unique, very thin bricks were set in minimal mortar joints and laid up in double walls. Specially molded bricks outline the doors and windows. Molded bricks divide the first from the second floor (another echo of English architecture).

In our store, you'll find a simple and clean aesthetic, coupled with beautiful leather bags, wallets, journals, and apparel. In 2014, Brothers Leather was founded with the goal of answering this enduring question: "Is it possible to own a great leather bag without remortgaging your home?" At the time, the answer was “not really.” Our mission is to create awesome, quality leather goods at exceptional prices. No mortgage paperwork required. We design and manufacture our products with the expectation that they will last for years and improve with age – like wine, like friends, like you! We look forward to continuing to provide awesome products that make your life easier, without sacrificing style or your financial future!

Indoor Outdoor

Bartertown Diner is a 100% plant-based restaurant, and the first no-tip restaurant in West Michigan. We strive to create an inclusive eating experience, believing that everyone has a seat at the table. In efforts to support our mission, we've organized a "Give a taco, Take a taco" program that allows patrons to buy tacos and bowls of food for others to enjoy. "Give a taco, Take a taco" connections are made via our community board and on the streets of Grand Rapids. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are available alongside fresh smoothies, Global Infusion teas, Rowster's coffee, Sweet Batches baked goods and Rise Bakery's gluten free desserts. Couches are available for a more relaxed experience, in addition to dine-in tables and chairs, and two outdoor patios. You'll find us just south of Fulton on the east side of Jefferson!!
