Venue description
Former Milner Hotel, the 40,000 sq. ft. building is the first Class “A” downtown office space built since 1995. The innovative building features a glass sculpture on the front and when illuminated at night, landmarks the arena district. The building was among the first to seek U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification for both core and shell, and commercial interiors. Grand Rapids Innovation and Design, AKA GRID 70, opened a new type of office environment to local businesses, based off a successful global concept. Offices will be occupied by creative professionals from various companies and have the opportunity to thrive on each other’s unique ideas and outside perspectives. Currently, Steelcase, Meijer, Amway and Wolverine World Wide are part of the office mix. The complete vision is to bring more professionals to work in downtown GR, leverage local creative resources, and overall, increase business to the city of Grand Rapids.
