Exhibition statement
Coit Creative Arts Academy is an elmentary school dedicated to reaching academic excellence through integration of the arts. Artists are NOT required to exhibit children themed art but are asked to make sure art is child friendly.

The venue is an outside venue only. We offer many great spaces for three dimensional art. We also have great outside wall space. Art can be mounted right into the mortar. Large pieces look great in this space because it is so large, however smaller walls are also available.

We are just blocks from the hospital and have LOTS of walking traffic. We also work closely with the North Monroe neighborhood association to promote our venue.

Description of exhibition space
There are multiple sites around the school that could be used beautifully for the creative mind. Pictures included are a view from Coit Avenue and from Livingston. Plus two great southern facing walls. In addition there is a fence surrounding the playground that also could be used in various ways. We welcome you to visit anytime and to call with any questions.

Venue description
Coit Creative Arts Academy is the elementary art school for the Grand Rapids Public Schools. The original building was built in 1880 and it is the oldest working school in Michigan.

In 2002 it became an arts school. As a result families have moved into the neighborhood specifically to send their children to Coit Creative Arts Academy. Due to this the neighborhood is more art savvy than most others.

It is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Medical Mile and within walking distance to downtown.

With school budgets as they exist being an exhibitor at Coit Creative Arts Academy is a wonderful nod to the dedication artists feel toward arts education.
