Exhibition statement
Interested in Volunteering!? Visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/56SLMBD

We are interested in any art work that is well-crafted and possesses vitality. We are interested in artists whose work is able to convey something of their own personality, something of their heart and mind, some sense of the community, broadly defined, within which they work.

The exhibition space, indoor and out, lends itself to contemplative viewing; we will thus look for art works that we believe can contribute to that type of ambience. Except in rare instances, we will not consider art works that have not yet been made. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the indoor space provide lovely natural light.

Venue description
Cathedral Square will once again serve as an Exhibition Center for ArtPrize providing a unique, inviting and thoughtful viewing environment for the work of a number of artists in a variety of mediums. Located in the Heartside Neighborhood near the intersection of Wealthy Street and Division Avenue and anchored by the 125-year old Cathedral of Saint Andrew,Cathedral Square is an 11.5 acre park-like area in which both indoor and outdoor exhibition space is available. The square's gardens are beautifully landscaped and welcome guests to meander on the pedestrian-friendly, winding walk ways.Cathedral Square includes the cathedral, Cathedral Square Center/Wege Conference Center, the Catholic Information Center,Central High School,Keeler Plaza, Wege Gardens, the Maple Street Improvement Plan campus, and the Piazza Secchia.Reminiscent of a European square where people gather for religious and community celebrations, Piazza Secchia is modeled after Michelangelo's Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome.
