Water Colors Aquarium Gallery

Indoor

We're not just a fish store, we're an aquarium gallery. Our display tanks have been carefully designed and aquascaped. Even our sales tanks are more than just boxes to put fish in, but living pieces of art. We do sell fish, plants, corals, etc. We're also responsible for maintaining many of the aquariums you may have seen in the area. Education is one of the most important things we do. We're very kid friendly and open to questions. So stop by, check out our Art Prize installation, take a look at our displays, and ask us plenty of questions!

Monroe Community Church

MCC is an emerging Christian faith community whose mission is “Connecting our downtown community with our life-changing God.” As image-bearers of the Creator, we seek to honor God through celebrating the creative talents of our members, friends, and the community. We embrace and encourage the arts through various community events and activities. Each year for ArtPrize, we conduct a 4-week series of worship services based upon themes generated by selected art that we host. We typically have an opening reception, an open-mic artist night, a kids' art day, and can host special receptions for a small fee. We typically host many K-12 school class trips at our venue, and our exhibits are typically appropriate for children. We are Barrier-Free, have a drinking fountain, restrooms, a mom's nursing space available, and offer packaged snacks for donation. In 2017, MCC was one of the 5 finalists for Outstanding Venue, and hosted one of the jury finalists in the 3-D category, "Bloodline".

The Garage is a comforting and relaxing bar a mile north of Downtown GR. We do know how to switch gears and throw a good party though. In our summer months we throw up the garage door, put out corn hole, and pack our patio with people! Our food is fresh and our drinks are amazing, leaving people craving to come back.

ChoiceOne Bank

Visit the new art gallery at ChoiceOne Bank designed just for local artists! ChoiceOne’s newly remodeled building at 330 Market Street, near Founders, is a bursting structure of design. This building itself is like a piece of art, and the Bank has preserved much of the structure to keep its character in place. The building has a mid-century breeze-block wall that has been used for photographing life-changing events over the years such as engagements and weddings. ChoiceOne has preserved “the wall” and encourages the art of photography to continue in and outside the building. There is a year-round art gallery inside the building that features various local artists who have used “the wall” in their photography. Come and enjoy this interesting venue, along with refreshments and free parking. It’s a lovely venue for a local gallery and ArtPrize.
