Grand River
Venue description: The Grand River flows through the heart of Grand Rapids and has several bridges that traverse its expanse. There are numerous parks and public areas lining the banks of the Grand River.

A section of the Grand River, between Fulton and Pearl Streets has been designated as an ArtPrize venue by the City of Grand Rapids in coordination with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
Venue statement: The Grand River, the beautiful lifeline of western Michigan, has flowed throughout time and by the settlements of Native Americans, French and Dutch traders, lumber barons, furniture manufacturers, and a modern city. The Grand River and its surrounding area will be home for ArtPrize. Two pieces will be placed within the waters of the Grand River and many more will be placed along the banks and on the bridges of this majestic body of water.
