Ah-Nab-Awen Park
Venue description: Ah-Nab-Awen Park is one of the premier green spaces in downtown Grand Rapids. It is situated between the Grand River and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Concrete paths weave between three large grassy mounds, built in 1976 to symbolize Hopewell Indian burial mounds, which are native to the area. Although the mounds proper are not a venue, ample green space in the park is able to accommodate up to six artists. This space will be curated by Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The park offers a fantastic view of the Grand Rapids skyline, and is easily accessible by both a pedestrian bridge and plenty of on-site parking.
