Davids Opus
Davids Opus Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp……and an old silent player piano. It had sat heavy and weary in my home for more than 20 years. No super talent had graced its keyboard, no new songs written about unrequited love. Yet I saw in it a new fresh piece of art and expression of David in its wood panels, the gothic church in its old wood. The life giving keys saturated with Davids Opus, his praises in the Psalms transforming something weary into something fresh and new. As I worked the wood and metal I could almost feel the vibrations of the strings still echoing in the ancient mysteries of music and praise.
