The Mitten Brewing Company is a vintage baseball-themed microbrewery and pizzeria located in historic Engine House No. 9, a Victorian-era firehouse and Grand Rapids landmark. Since opening in October 2012, they've become known for their classic style beers with a twist and gourmet pizzas made with the finest ingredients available. The cement floors still show signs of 19th century horse stalls and the original exterior lanterns hint at the antique décor within. The lobby and dining room house vintage baseball memorabilia and you can even sit in the original Tiger Stadium seats while you wait for a table. Thee Mitten is also vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free friendly, and all menu items can be changed to meet your dietary requests. So stop on by, have a beer, and enjoy our unique atmosphere featuring many wonderful ArtPrize artists!

Artist & Connection Information
Last year was our first experience being a part of ArtPrize and the viewer turnout was amazing. With our expansion in progress (doubling our capacity), we are excited to have two floors available this year to display artist work. Our Victorian-era firehouse features tall ceilings, red brick walls, and holds a wonderful vintage charm. It is the perfect space for art pieces big and small. We are located on a very high traffic street (Leonard Street NW), and have 2 large FREE parking lots available for customers. Just minutes from downtown, we make the perfect ArtPrize venue to go for dinner and easy parking. We were voted "Michigan's best new brewery" by MLive and have been featured heavily in the press over the past year.
