The first single from The Long Count's debut record "Songs of Loss and Regret" (S.O.L.A.R.). The Long Count is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Randy Hughey and bassist Rodney Johnson. Keyboard player and saxophonist John Saunders, guitarist Gary Hebert and drummer Scott Hickok complete the lineup. The video was made collaboratively over the internet and was shot with webcams and smart phones. Everyone filmed themselves playing their parts from a few different angles and then Gary stitched it all together. Although members of The Long Count are spread out across the country (Grand Rapids, MI. Chicago, IL. and Los Angeles, CA.) the group has managed a number of performances, recorded a CD and made a video. Work on a follow up CD is ongoing.
