the bitter end is located on the Western border of the ArtPrize area, 3 blocks West of Grand Valley State University, in a restored 100 year old bank building featuring the original tile floors, oak woodwork, leaded glass windows and 12 foot tin ceilings. It's European ambiance has been featured in several student films as well as national merchandise catalogs. The coffeehouse is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, features free WIFI and offers ample free parking in the City Lot across the street. The walls are covered with interesting, unusual and unique artwork. This is our third year participating in ArtPrize; in the past we have featured local artists as well as artists from out-of-state.

Situated in a renovated 100 year old bank at the original Western border of the city, the bitter end coffehouse is located 3 blocks west of the downtown GVSU campus and is open 24 hours/7days a week. The coffeehouse maintains the original century-old architecture and a European ambiance: tile floors, oak woodwork, leaded glass windows and a 12 foot tin ceiling. Walls are decorated with unique, interesting, and unusual artwork. The bitter end features a large variety of organic, Fair Trade espresso beverages, organic, Fair Trade varietals, organic loose leaf teas and a wide selection of smoothies as well as fresh bagels, baked goods and pastries.
