The Golden Rule

My inspiration came from the many conversations that happened during the death of Osama bin Laden. The opinions ranged from left to right. I felt that if the world simply lived by the Golden Rule, "do unto others as you would have done unto to you," there would be no fighting. However, I realized that the world's Golden Rule was "whatever you do unto me and I will do it right back unto you." Thus a never-ending cycle of fighting. The painting's mixed-media are oil, enamel and gold foil.
