

New York-based artist Tamara Kostianovsky was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the National School of Fine Arts of Buenos Aires and a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Kostianovsky's work has been exhibited in solo and in group shows at venues including El Museo del Barrio, NY; Socrates Sculpture Park, NY; Nevada Museum of Art, NV; GRAM Museum, MI; Y Gallery, NY; the Sydney Opera House, Australia; Arsenal, Montreal, Canada; and Maison et Objet, Paris, France. Selected awards include the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, two Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants, and a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. In 2015, Kostianovsky's solo exhibition "Relic", presented at the UICA, was a finalist in the 3D category of ARTPRIZE 7.
