Steven Scarborough

Grand Rapids, MI, United States

Photography is a type of art that relies on time to tell it's story, as it is often captured in just a hundredth of a second. From there, the artist can change so much, relying on editing skills and software, as is the case with my 2017 ArrtPrize entry. The tree is real - it lives on a tranquil street in Grand Ledge, MI. just East of Grand Rapids. The woman that takes form in it? She's a figment of both of our imaginations. She represents how embedded we all are in nature, but sometimes it is hard to see and easy to forget that connection. The shows I've been in this year include the Spring Collector's Show at the ArtPrize Hub, the Festival of the Arts Regional Art Show at the KCAD and at the Lowell Art Center's 'Flight' Show this summer. I'm also a proud member of Grand Valley Artists.
