St. Mark’s is proud of its long and meaningful history in downtown Grand Rapids. We celebrate in a gorgeous 19th century Gothic Revival sanctuary, lined with stained glass windows. Our tradition of music is strong and we are excited about our new pipe organ. But we are much more than our past. Today we are a vibrant, growing church -- a community growing in faith together. We celebrate the diversity of our congregation. Together we seek to grow as Christians and to reach out to those in need.

Artist & Connection Information
St. Mark's is seeking work from exceptional artists working in any medium and subject matter. For ArtPrize 2014, our theme is "Forward Facing/Facing Forward." While this seems like a somewhat loose and nebulous concept, we feel confident that we will know the sort of work we are looking for when we see it. We pride ourselves on selecting a wide variety of quality pieces each year in many different mediums. St. Mark's has ample lawn space on Division Ave to showcase a few outdoor pieces and a fellowship hall, library and sitting room for indoor pieces. We have space in our Sanctuary for larger 3D pieces and are very interested in hosting appropriate works in this area.
