Martins Influence
2012 ArtPrize EntryThis piece emphasizes the positive influence of Dr.Martin Luther King on the lives of our young people. In this pop art portrait there are many symbols that are important to remember. Peace doves, olive branches, the statue of liberty symbols, church windows all reflect on what Martin Luther King represents. Bright colors reflect the positive aspects of his life and are meant to appeal to all people but especially children. This portrait was inspired by the students at New Branches School and will be dedicated to the school to promote a positive image of this great leader. It is meant to inspire our students to become just as great. This is a color sketch, the final work will be completed soon.
