I am in awe of the nature of the universe, a seemingly infinite blooming expansiveness, originating from a singular common point. I am humbled by the connection between all things that this implies. Given the right perspective, these symmetries show up even across extreme shifts in scale, from microscopic to cosmic. I highlight the visual mutuality of such polarities. I enjoy experimenting in the studio with various versatile and flexible materials and I document the results to use in my work. The images are bioorganic in nature, yet peculiarly unidentifiable, blurring the line even between fiction and reality. I am from the Chicago area, received my BFA from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2003, and my MFA from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI in 2011. I currently teach 2D Design and Drawing at KCAD. http://sarahknill.com
