'1952' is a relief painting in wood made by painting, carving, engraving, and sanding into smaller blocks which are then assembled into the final piece. The image is consciously drawn on antique photography, particularly long-exposure methods such as the daguerreotype, where the passage of time is recorded. Dimensions: 21-3/4" H x 14" W x 2" D.
