Samuel Jewell picked up his first pair of sticks at the age of 5 and since then, they've been inseparable. He began to play drums professionally at the age of 19. In the past few years Samuel has played multiple festivals, including The Elkhart Jazz Festival in Elkhart, Indiana, as well as the internationally recognized, Chicago Jazz Festival. He has worked with multiple recording artists and musicians, such as Tammy McCann, Chantay Savage, Marquis Hill, Willie Pickens, Gerald Wilson, and many more. Most recently he has worked with the world-renowned Chicago Children's Choir. Samuel's gift has also opened many doors for him to perform internationally, as he participated in Bloemfontein, South Africa's Macufe Manguang Africa Cultural Festival 2014. The festival featured groundbreaking artist and musician, Chrisette Michele and Earl Klugh. When Samuel is not performing, he is a music educator with a focus in percussion.
