Sage Dawson is a mixed media artist who's work examines the history of cartographic rendering: mapping in order to investigate collective experiences, sublimity, and the distinct identities of abandoned spaces. She completed an MFA in Printmaking from the University of New Mexico. While there, both in collaboration with the Tamarind Institute and alone, Sage worked beyond the constraints of the traditional press bed size using multiple panel matrices to create large-scale prints. Recent exhibitions have been held at the University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts, the International Print Center New York, the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University’s School of Visual Arts, and Pratt MWP School of Art, New York.
