Re-CYCLE series There are just too many old bikes. Broken or found, discarded and unused. This sculpture series pays homage to the “Old Bike” and welcomes the new. Intended to be a functional bicycle racks, during bike riding weather. "FULL-CIRCLE" the 3rd & newest sculpture in this series, showing for the first time. Welcoming and playful, this sculpture embraces and illustrates the concept re-CYCLE. "BIKE TREE OF LIFE": #1 in the series. This sculpture stands beautifully alone, without bikes parked on it. The textural elements of spokes and gears are tangled into an organic tree-like form. "BIKE TREE TOO" 2nd in the series. is an extension of alternative thought and re-use. This functional bike rack uses the discarded frames from children’s bikes, interlocked composition within the triangular frame of the sculpture.The top handle-bar and seat assemblage pays homage to Picasso’s “Bull Head” sculpture, which inspired thoughtful re-use in this sculpture.

Venue & Connection Information

Can be installed indoor or out. If outdoor installation can be bolted to a hard surface for security and safety. Access to electrical outlets for lighting would be helpful.
