Tree in Fog

2013 ArtPrize Entry
Add to Collection

While in the Coast Guard I would often go down to Harkness State Park to take photos on a particular day I happened to go down to the park during a thick blanket of fog. This photo was captured with a Canon T2i the the image of the tree was printed on large format printer then transferred to a piece of reused birch plywood and framed with a cut down pallet, the image is coated in polyurethane. The alternative process with the photography creates a duality that exists between an image of a tree affixed to a tree and the flaking off of the transfer shows the beautiful birch plywood underneath and enhancing the duality that exits
