Rumsey Street

Rumsey Street is a community driven venue that is focused on neighborhood culture and stories. We want to use ArtPrize as a tool to have wide audience in order to: (1) Center neighborhood residents, artists, and former members of St. Joseph the Worker Church in the site planning and development process of the Plaza Roosevelt project (2) Honor and document the narratives that are crucial to the fabric of the neighborhood as it currently exists (3) Maintain the cultural and historic elements of the neighborhood during major development (4) Transfer decision-making power to residents and people whose voices are not always heard (5) Provide a new way for residents to access and interact with information about changes in their neighborhood
