My Polyethylene Terephthalate Garden
2012 ArtPrize EntryThrough my student teaching experiences in visual arts, I have been inspired by teachers who continue to utilize recycled materials in their projects. I decided to take it to the next level and create a large garden of plastic flowers for my ArtPrize entry. I have over 200 bottles, and currently have 50 of the flowers completed.

Venue & Connection Information
I will be installing this piece using wire. It will need significant floor space, (but it's form can adapt according to its surrounding environment). It will be installed on the ground as a garden. It could be an indoor or outdoor space, but I would prefer an outdoor space so the sunlight will bring out the vibrant colors, offering a stained glass effect.
