The Walking Art Project

The Walking Art Project is a tribute to the men and women of the US Armed Forces who were disabled in the course of their service. It is comprised of 25 walking sticks and canes, each of which is both functional and a work of art, and represents the journey back to wholeness both physically and spiritually. It is a partnership between the artist and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a nationally recognized organization which advocates for disabled veterans. At the end of Art Prize the individual pieces will be given to the DAV who will distribute them to disabled vets. In addition, visitors will be given the opportunity to give tax-deductible donations directly to the DAV. Special consideration will be given to those donating over $100.
