Visually and aesthetically, the soothing and tranquil qualities of such natural phenomenon as snowdrifts and sand dunes inspire me. I use these gracefully transitional forms and the warm resonating effects of polished bronze to express the nurturing essence of our human energy, emphasizing the warm compassionate side of our nature. Through the proportions of our human figure, I’m able to express the joyful vitality that surfaces when we nurture the binding forces that we share with all life, including those between each of us. This sculpture (“JOY” for short) is therefore an expression of this realization and a tribute to joy “meaning fulfillment” as our world-wide human potential. Regarding the environmental concept Log onto For myself, creating art remains my preferred form of inter-disciplinary practice. This is how I relate to and express my love for life. This is my fundamental place of inner peace –for participating in the harmony of nature’s wisdom.
