Hand woven Pine Needle Bear. In Progress. A few hundred thousand needles were sorted, washed and woven to create this bear. All features are carved from wood. as in the Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Claws, and Paws. He has a wired structured frame. For the most part he is hollow and has paper items inside like a picture , current news, bumber sticker , prayers & wishes etc. A sort of time capsual. This Bears stands just under 8 feet tall and I currentlly have 7 months work in him. In the history of art, I don't believe this form of art has ever been done.

Venue & Connection Information

This Bear stands so the floor space needed is only 4'x4'. However fenced off an arm lenth away would be nice to keep people from touching him. He looks real nice about 15 feet away and then to walk up to him to see what he's made of. Will need a ceiling higher than 8 foot. That's about it. Maybe a lighted area. Oh, Must have double doors to get him in building.
