The 16" X 20" image is of the 26 foot tall sculpture of Marilyn Monroe, then in Chicago, and an American flag on the Wrigley building...FRAME SIZE: 25" X 33.5". "Marilyn and Old Glory" is an exercise for Freedom of Speech. The image appears controversial but interestingly enough the sculpture was on public display in downtown Chicago. "Marilyn and Old Glory" depicts the true form of freedom. The freedoms we take for granted each and every day. The Marilyn sculpture has been described as the "Ugliest Art in America" yet it is up held by our First Amendment Rights to Freedom of Speech. Marilyn as she scans the city scape of Chicago looks at Old Glory and fulfills the true act of living this freedom.
