Dandelion Thunder
2011 ArtPrize Entry"Dandelion Thunder" is the visual union of those elements of life that transends us beyond literal representation. The unified forms are presented in an abstract manner to envoke a pictorial language, but placed together to create emotion and thought so the individual can interpret the words or symbols seperately or as a whole. Although the images appear unrelated when joined together the images form a structure much like a line of poetry or musical score. The use of the work's title sets the tone for the abstract images presented. Actually adding the words to the painting is more important to the work's structure than seperately as a title on a name card.
