As a sculptor, I am interested in making new pathways to connect with nature. My goal is to contribute artistically to the project of sustainability by teasing out a sense of reimagined, renewable space, in which we humans can learn to be better partners with other forms of life, landscapes, and the earth itself. I use remnants of plant life and building materials like cement and copper tubing, to make imaginary figures and scenes that tell stories of creative coexistence. Also a graphic designer, I look for ways to make 2-d expression have more 3-d potential. Whether logos or magazine layouts, my work tempts the viewer to imagine deep spaces rather than just the forms they see on paper or screen. I love to spend time in mountainous areas, woods.
