Face to Face

2013 ArtPrize Entry
Add to Collection

My image, which I hope to display as a large (24’x24’) banner printed in silk screen, signifies the importance of portraiture throughout the history of art. Additionally, it embodies the struggle of all art to define the meaning of self. I have written a short poem that embodies this struggle, entitle “Face to Face.” What does an artist face day to day, in his expressive race? He comes face to face with his Intuitive pace, in time and graphic space. The Artist finally finds thru toil and struggle his creative grace in a worldy planetary space.
