Patrice Donnelly began her artistic career painting oil portraits of people, landscapes, animals and lighthouses back in 1986. Over the years she expanded her creative expression with the use of both acrylics and watercolors. She currently has her works displayed at the FIA, the city offices in Farmington Hills and in her gallery in Davisburg, Michigan. Patrice is an art educator providing students and adults with creative direction, inspiration, and resources in order to expand their creative expression. She also works for VSA Michigan teaching art in school classrooms through its Artists-in-Residence Program. VSA (Very Special Arts) offers students with moderate to severe disabilities a chance to express themselves through the arts. Patrice uses her talent and passion for nature in the exhibit series, “Once Upon A Time”, to portray the very real global problem we are currently facing: the extinction of entire species. With nine oil portraits of the most critically endangered species, these works help bring public awareness to their plight.
