Stop Light of Hope
The “Stop Light of Hope” is an exhibit integrating art, community, and technology to create awareness about homelessness in West Michigan. Creatively, the art intends to communicate real stories about different people dealing with homelessness. On any given night in Grand Rapids, around 500 people sleep in emergency shelters throughout the city. With the use of a website, the project will be handled progressively and opens the possibilities for this innovative approach to Art Prize. Ultimately, this will demonstrate how the latest technology can be used to benefit organizations in a unique form of artistic expression. On the website, we will be able to facilitate a direct donation to a local agency in need and most of all we hope you vote for us since we will donate half of the net prize money won to this organization. The mission: Our project is more than just art, but a form of expressing the importance of awareness with everyday problems all around and within our own community.
