The subject of this impressionist painting is the contemporary business of a harbour. I was born in Taranto, Italy. I began painting in my teens and studied in private schools there and soon had an exhibition in the Taras Gallery in that city. I participated next in Lipari, Sicily in 1956, in Rome in an international exhibit, and in various other Italian cities (Termoli, Campobaso, Ligure, the Brera Gallery in Milan in 1960 etc). I received a silver medal at the Cannes Art Festival in France; the Szepmuvestzeti Museum in Budapest, Hungry in a 2005 international contest; and I exhibited in the Louvre Art Museum, Paris, in an international exhibition again in 2005. In the early 1960s I emigrated to the US and made Lansing, Michigan my home. Several newspapers and books in both Italy and the US have carried pictures and information about me. My autobiography entitled From Italy to America with Love has been published by Xlibris in 2012 revealing, among other things, my life as a child in World War II in Taranto, Italy, plus my artistic career there and here in Michigan.
