Social Justice through Freedom of Speech

A pair of watercolor paintings focusing on social justice through freedom of speech: The paintings reflect a national and an international sense that the essence of social justice is not only a foundation of our nation and its underlying principals. It is also the essence of a condition of life that people seek throughout the world. Sometimes people are so busy surviving, but they know what it is when they experience it. They begin to realize social justice should be an inherent part of being alive. It is through the expression of these freedoms that they begin to understand that this should be theirs'. It is through freedom of speech, and action, that change can and will occur. We have seen this again and again, even as it is suppressed by those who fear its srength.
