Ocqueoc Falls

2013 ArtPrize Entry

Ocqueoc Falls, an installation Ocqueoc Falls is a small waterfall in the north woods of the lower peninsula of Michigan. This installation is my interpretation of the movement, serenity, cleanliness and beauty of a remote area. This installation and the others shown as my past work are created with found materials. I invite the viewer to become engaged with this work not only on the beautifully sensory level but intellectually as well. The intent is for the viewer to develop an appreciation for art that create environments with waste and to cultivate attitudes about our collective responsibility for the world around us.
