For over thirty years, Lucia Eames has lasercut her designs in materials like steel, aluminum and stainless steel for nesting tables and screens for indoors and outdoors. Eames began the Sunburst Series as three 8-foot-tall steel panels for a lighting company and has continued over the years to explore the forms in different materials and scales. For example, bronze as a backdrop adds warmth while a mirror finish on stainless steel allows light to be reflected back into the room. Eames also likes to arrange groupings of the various sun shapes for the wall.
