As a university professor emeritus, my career focused on becoming a significant artist/teacher. Finishing my undergraduate and graduate art degrees from Western Michigan University and the University of Iowa respectively and postgraduate artwork from the university of Georgia, I won National Best of Show in Texas. By 1990 my work focused on art and technology at the CAVS, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I co-founded BIGthink, which presents lectures/workshops in Creativity Education. I’ve taught, lectured and/or exhibited in Canada, Scotland, Switzerland, Hawaii, Austria, France, Norway, Australia, Albania and the U.S.A. with installations in Canada, Switzerland and Norway. Articles/reviews: Sculpture China (International, 2001), You Are Here (National 2004) and Drawing Discourse (National, 2017). Receiving state honors in the environmental installation in Detroit, Art on the Move and from W.K. Kellogg Foundation, I co-facilitated the World Peace Art Initiative Residency represented by Australia, China, Italy, Norway and U.S.A. In 2014, I was honored to have a major exhibition, Spirito in Volo, at the Richmond Center for the Visual Arts and juried into the International Contemporary Drawing exhibition from 10 countries at North Carolina University Ashville in 2017.
