Through an odd and antiquated collection of lightning rods, fulgurites, found objects and ephemera, I engage the extant dioramas and showcases of the old Grand Rapids Public Museum, as well as conventions and expectations that usually accompany this kind of exhibition, to explore a distinctly American history of lightning.
