Farly was born in Seoul, Korea and was adopted when she was 10 weeks old; a few airplane rides later, she ended up in the middle of the United States. Always with a flair for drama, she was either destined to be an actor or a visual artist. Through the elementary years, drawing Garfield won the heart of dear Farly and thus pushed the acting profession to the back burner. After those awkward teen years, Farly then trudged through the even more awkward college years at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Somewhat perturbed by the lack of drawing and painting options, she then took to her painting palette and drawing board to see what she could try on her own. She now brings her dramatic nature to the surfaces with which she works whether it be Pollock-like splatters in acrylic, floral graphics in watercolor or charcoal saturated portraits. Farly is also experienced in art shows, gallery work, art festivals, work based on commission, collaborative projects and instructing in all skill levels with acrylic, watercolor and charcoal. Now in Rockville, Maryland, Farly lives with her fiancé and cat, Mr. Winston.
