Laura Reséndiz is known for her involvement in the processes of art production in order to create dialogues with real content and make them available to audiences not only through gallery or museum exhibitions. She firmly believes that Art as an educational and well driven tool can create positive urban-emotional transformations. With CICLO, Reséndiz, generates alternative platforms and opportunities for artists, creators and public to collaborate, integrate and share their sincere aesthetic experiences and thoughts with secluded communities that have no access or contact with art in any form. Her multidisciplinary nature includes the founding and direction of Anonymous Gallery, where she co-created dialogues between Mexico City and New York, with the goal of providing a platform for contemporary art, public art, and community involvement. The gallery has been committed to present ambitious projects from emerging and mid-career artists. CICLO Non profit collaborative initiative co founded with artist Paola Beck seeks to restore fragmented social structures by bonding with the community through art and social practices. So far Ciclo has rehabilitated nine public spaces in south mexico city, in areas with non or very limited access to art and culture. Since Urban Design Area is profile customized for the neighbors, results on this workshops wide from skate parks, on site local museums, community gardens, sustainable construction, pluvial water capture systems and found material recycling.
