I am an Artist and a High School Art Teacher. I have been teaching art for 13 years in Pennsylvania in a small town called Elizabeth just outside of Pittsburgh. I enjoy teaching all mediums and styles in art and one will find that my portfolio is very diverse in many ways. However, I have been mainly shifting my personal works lately to painting. I have been artistic since I was a small child and it has influenced the person I am today. My work is a personal reflection of the life and world that surrounds me. I love inspiring these young minds that I teach and bringing out their creative side that most don't realize they have. My work that I create is greatly influenced by my surroundings, life, and experiences. Although I create work in all medias and subject matters, my work seems to have one connection. That connection is working realistically and striving to recreate the beauty that I find in life and nature. It may be capturing things such as the way the light falls upon a landscape, the vibrant colors in the sky, the way the folds in clothing show the figure beneath, or the interesting expressions and characteristics of human beings. I try to convey these observations and ideas to others by producing artistic representational images that portray the way that I think, feel, and view the world around me. My work is a signature of my inner self and symbolizes the life that surrounds me. I continue to add variety to my art as the world around me changes. Art is and always will be my escape into the perfect and beautiful world.
