2012 - My Little Italy Oil on Canvas I snapped this image while I was studying in Perugia, Italy for art school. The depth of the image and peace it brought me moved me so much that I chose to render it in graphite and submitted that piece to The Society of Illustrators in New York. They granted me a scholarship and I had the opportunity to see it hanging in their gallery. It has been many years since I'd had the time to produce that kind of rendering. Life, not unlike most, has its twists and turns. After the loss of my husband, I decided it was time to find my creative side again. Because I had promised him I would take him to Italy someday, I decided this would be a fitting tribute - to finish the painting I'd started for him. Someday I will take him to Italy again, as he will always be in my heart.

This needs to be hung on a flat wall away from moisture or traffic. I will need to hang it with a nail or screw in the wall.
