My paintings are automotive paint on MDF. They are assemblages of hundreds of individual tiles. The process oscillates between calculation and spontaneity. I create the conditions for a painting to take form. I produce the parts and assemble. I only know what it'll look like when it's complete. Much of the process is out of my control.
