As a non-traditional Fine Arts major at Indiana University Northwest, I come to the world of art in the midst of raising kids, and all the craziness and fun that comes with family life. Struck by how much 'stuff' we use as individuals, I have continued to explore 3 dimensional art, and especially like to use items which would ordinarily end up in a landfill. I recently completed a sculpture made with obsolete electronics, and feel that by using things we see all around us everyday, we can learn much about ourselves and our culture.
