The work in this exhibition is an expression of memories and an unfolding of personal experiences. I have chosen the metaphor of layering fabric, which is at once transparent and still conceals a desire. These paintings are intended to seduce the conscious mind. I am willing to allow the viewer to catch a glimpse of my hidden secrets if they are willing to examine the descriptive imagery. On the surface, color and visual texture are inviting clues to deeper sensual experiences, hinted at by the concealed feminine forms. How much am I willing to reveal? How much is the viewer willing to investigate? These paintings are a bridge that will allow us to find out. My goal is to stimulate play between curiosity and trickery of the viewer; my intention with the use of line, movement and gesture is to continually create an overall illusion of entanglement.

Venue & Connection Information

Selected series would require 6 feet spacing in between each other. Some series have multiple paintings; 2 in. is the spacing in between panels within the same series. The graphite on panel series ( Entangled IV ) is a stand alone piece; its dimensions are 12 in. width x 150 in. height x 1 in. depth. Individual Entangled painting series, if selected, range from 4 ft. to 7 ft. in width, 4 ft. in height, and 2 in. in depth.
