This series (to be selected from 100+ images) has been created by fingertip on an iPad by a Grand Rapids Artist. It features settings and faces of West Michigan. The accompanying video shows the "artimation" or each stroke of each portrait and creates a "full disclosure" of the artistic process. Non-artists, especially, find this mesmerizing and insightful. It also adds the dimension of time to a finished work of art. The video features music created locally by West Michigan musicians.

Venue & Connection Information

This fingertip created portrait series will be "made flesh" using the newest imaging technologies available. This includes curved metal, corner wraps, aluminum, fine art gichlee, backlit pleximounts and elegant papers. Some images might even stay "virtual" and be seen on a monitor or screen. "Artimations" are created for each portrait and show each stroke and how the portrait evolves into the finished work. Artimations will then be edited artistically and formatted for the selected venue. The artimation can be shown on a monitor or screen or even be formatted for the planetarium ceiling. With the finished images alongside, viewers can enjoy portraiture in entirely new ways.
